What the asset will need and when, with costs attached
Lifts rarely fail without warning, but the warnings are easy to miss if nobody is tracking them. By the time a controller becomes unsupportable or a drive fails outright, the owner has lost every bit of negotiating leverage: the work is urgent, the options are narrow, and the price reflects that. Planning three to ten years out changes the entire economics of the decision.
