Dean Morgan, Director
Over 38 years’ experience in the Vertical Transportation industry, Dean has worked for major global lift companies including Otis Elevator Company and Schindler Lifts Australia.
Deans rich and varied experience includes Sales, National Key Accounts, Branch Service and National Business Development Roles.
Deans experience ensures our clients get the right advice and solutions on each and every project.
Richie Lobert, Director
More than 25 years’ experience working in a range of disciplines within the Vertical Transportation Industry, including Field Technical Support, Sales and Management roles with Kone Elevators, Otis Elevator Company and Schindler Lifts, locally and internationally.
Richie has a strong track record in delivering high quality projects with a customer centred focus on the benefits delivered through new technologies.

Rod Smith, Manager, Queensland
Over 40 years’ experience in the Vertical Transportation Industry in a wide variety of service and account management roles including National Key Account Management has given Rod a comprehensive knowledge of the global lift companies products and operations in Australia.
Rod has built strong relationships within the Vertical Transportation Industry and across a broad range of customers, including the commercial and retail sectors.
Rod has an extensive knowledge of safety enhancement products for lifts and escalators and can provide customer focused advice.
Ian Flannery, Senior Consultant
Ian brings more than 38 years of industry experience, having initially served an Apprenticeship with Precision Elevators in 1982.
Ian then spent a number of years installing, commissioning and testing Lifts at both Schindler Lifts and KONE Elevators, working as a Tuner/Adjuster, Leading Hand and Site Manager across a number of large projects.
Ian was the Technical Service and Training Manager at KONE Elevators and most recently Technical Service Team Leader and Field Trainer.
Ian's focus and passion is in the technical, testing and training areas, however he has also covered off on many other roles in the Service, Installation and Modernisation departments of the Lift industry.
Joshua Chong, Project Manager
Joshua holds degree in Mechanical Engineering and a Master of Business Administration and adds an additional 28 years of industry experience to the LML Team.
Joshua has worked for both KONE Pte Ltd (Singapore) and ThyssenKrupp Elevator Pte Ltd (Singapore), in both cases as the Head of Department/ Project Management in the Installation and Modernisation departments. He has also worked for OTIS Elevator Company Pte Ltd (Singapore) as a Project Manager where he was responsible for the installation of 135 Lifts in the Downtime Line (subway).
More recently, Joshua worked for Schindler Lifts Australia as a Project Manager, responsible for New Installation and Modernisation projects.
Joshua’s many years of industry experience, along with his integrity, focus and passion, will be well utilised to oversee our growing list of modernisation and installation projects and ensure site programs and budgets are met, and more importantly the needs and expectations of our valuable Clients.
Tony Spalliera, Senior Consultant
Tony has more than 40 years' experience in the Vertical Transportation Industry. He spent more than 29 years with Otis Elevator Company followed by 12 years with ThyssenKrupp Elevator Australia.
As a specialist in installation, modernisation, repairs and maintenance, our clients benefit from his experience and practical customer focused advice.
Jim Caruana, Senior Consultant
With over 44 years of experience in roles such as Field Engineering and Manager of National Field Engineering at Otis Elevator Company, Jim has worked on many major landmark projects over many years, including the Rialto, 101 and 120 Collins Streets, Eureka and Freshwater Towers, as well as a large number of other prominent sites.
Jim’s main responsibility and focus was to ensure that all equipment installed, modernised, or being placed into service, was commissioned (finished, tuned and tested) to a high standard, and safe to operate, before being handed over to the customer.
Jim has extensive experience dealing with Builders, Facility Managers, Sales teams and Technical teams, with exceptional communication skills in this area to work through any issues and providing the appropriate resolution.
Chris Chatburn, Senior Consultant
With over 35 years’ experience in the Vertical Transportation industry, Chris has worked for major global Lift companies OTIS Elevator Company and Schindler Lifts Australia.
Chris’ roles within the aforementioned companies have seen him gain a wealth of experience across all areas of the Vertical Transportation industry, with some of Chris' roles including Senior Field Adjuster, Construction Supervisor for new Lift and Escalator projects, various Sales Management positions, as well as Branch and State Management positions.
Before joining LML, Chris was the New Equipment and Modernisation Manager for Schindler Lifts in South Australia and has a great deal of local knowledge, as well as a thorough understanding of the local market.
Gary Brown, Senior Consultant
Gary has 45 years of diverse industry experience across a variety of roles at Otis Elevator Company and Schindler Lifts.
Gary started his journey as a Lift Technician, working his way through the industry, including various roles such as Service Supervisor, Service Branch Manager, Construction Supervisor, Adjuster/Tuner and Project Management, and had also spent many years as a Safety Manager. Gary has also worked previously as a Lift Consultant for a number of years.
His focus has always been on ensuring that the Lift equipment placed into service, is finished to a high standard and safe to operate.
In his new role at LML, Gary will monitor the performance of the Lift companies, with a focus on safety.
